Stratham Conservation Commission Hosts Annual Clean-Up Day

The Stratham Conservation Commission will honor Earth Day 2012 by hosting the town’s 8th Annual Clean-up Day on Saturday, April 14, 2012, with a rain date of April 21. This event focuses on picking up trash found on the side of roadways and public areas in Stratham. The event will kick-off at 9 am at the Stratham Hill Park Pavilion. All residents of Stratham and owners of local businesses are encouraged to get involved! Participants will be treated donuts and drinks in the morning, and will receive a sample of chocolate thanks to a donation from Lindt Chocolate.
Volunteers can either be assigned a specific location that needs attention or request a specific location to clean up. For more information or to request a clean-up bag, please contact Donna Jensen at 772-1385 or DonnaJenesn2001@yahoo.com. Those interested in picking up their own street but are unable to participate on that day are also welcome to call and request a clean-up bag.
Trash collection bags for this event will be provided by NH the Beautiful, a non-profit organization that promotes anti-litter and recycling programs. Reflective safety vests and gloves will be provided by Jones Roofing Company, a Stratham-based company.
