The Stratham Recreation Commission is seeking volunteers to join the Commission
 
Come be a part of the organization that offers recreational programming to the community, whether it be sports leagues, family trips, camps, festivals and/or senior events to name a few.  Help formulate policies to promote public recreational opportunities that meet the needs and interests of Stratham residents utilizing Stratham's great recreational facilities and parks.  This is an opportunity to become involved in your community and meet your neighbors.  Meetings are held in the evenings monthly.  Interested?  Please contact Seth Hickey, Director, Stratham Recreation Department at 772-7450 ext. 250 or strathamrecreation@comcast.net.

Registration will only be accepted through the Active Network.  We are no longer processing registrations at the office window. Please let us know if you need any additional assistance in creating an account.

Photo Release: The Town of Stratham Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to photograph facility, activity and program participants at any and all department sponsored events for potential future use. All photos will remain the property of the Stratham Parks and Recreation Department and may be used in future program guides, brochures, pamphlets, or news releases for promotional purposes or in recognition of department sponsored events. Photos may be used for up to 10 years after the picture was taken. If you do not wish to have your picture taken, please notify a member of the staff or the instructor prior to the event.

The Stratham Recreation Department shall provide every person, regardless of athletic or financial ability an equal
opportunity to participate in all programs sponsored by the Stratham Recreation Commission.

Parental-adult involvement is essential to the success of each program.

Programs will have specific goals that are appropriate for each age level and shall range from attitude
development to skill acquisition.

Programs will provide for growth and continuity (i.e. expectation of continued participation) through all age levels.

Emphasis will be given to promotion of strong recreation level programs, which will reach the most number of participants.

The Commission shall promote a wholesome environment that will help our youth learn positive sportsmanship values.
Parents, coaches and recreation community members shall be held to the same standards.

Guidelines for operation, evaluation, and modification shall be an integral part of each program.

Competency of coaches and/or leaders will be enhanced however appropriate

Safety in every sense shall be of paramount importance in each program
